Certified copies are official duplicates of your deed poll. You'll need one for each organisation you notify (bank, DVLA, GP, employer, etc). We recommend at least 6 copies so you can update multiple organisations at once.

Each cover letter is a custom letter, personalised with your old and new name, that formally requests an organisation updates their records. Simply post or email it alongside a certified copy of your deed poll — no need to write your own letters from scratch.
